Senior year

Well school for all my little ones has begun ans the procrastinating mommy that I am is still running around for school supplies and more uniforms and clothes for the middle schooler. I figure I should be done by the weekend (well that's my plan anyway)

My oldest daughter is a Senior this year and we are working on Senior pictures already. Where does the time go? I still remember that little 5 year old going into elementary school  so excited with her little Disney princess backpack. Now it's talk about college and a job for the future.  She wants to be a social worker to help children who are being abused physically and emotionally. This is something she has been passionate about for quite some time. I'm so proud of the beautiful young lady she has become.

I will say that being a mommy and watching your children grow up is a very rewarding experience however sometimes I feel so sad to see them growing up so fast and would like to push a button to just slow it down so I can see it in slow motion. Does that make sense?

  1. I'm now following from Mrs. Mama Drama! I'd love to have you stop by sometime! My younger brother is a senior this year, and I'm also curious as to where the time went. It's still hard for me to think of him as nearly an adult! I still picture us wrestling on the floor, playing outside, and all those little moments. (Ok... I have to stop before I cry.)

    Have a wonderful day!

  2. Stopping by from NFFriday. My sweet girl just graduated and now is off to her first yr of college. It is amazing how time flies. I am just super happy right now though since she is attending the local college, for now anyway. If you have a min stop by my little corner of the world.

  3. Hello! I am your newest follower from Blog Hop Friday! I hope when you get a chance you will follow me back! Thanks!

Good Luck with the Senior in HS thing. I do not envy you there!

  7. We finished school supply shopping.. but I keep going back for the deals, figuring that stockpiling will save me $$ mid year when we have run out of something... thanks for following me yesterday and I'm returning the favor today!

    Mommy Only Has Two Hands!

  10. Our oldest graduated last school year. She wanted out of school so bad she finished in 3 years. She has always been in a hurry to grow up.

Blessings to You and Yours, this can be a rewarding time and try not to think about the want of her not growing up.

  11. My twins are only starting 1st grade this year and the baby isn't even a year yet so I have a long way to go to get to graduation. I hope your "little ones" have a successful year.

I've got a little something for you, you can find it here:

  12. I'm stopping by from the Sunday blog hop and I am glad I found your blog. When my fiance and I get married this year, we'll have 6 kids between us. I'm glad to see a family out there that's so happy.
