Teenage Bullying

Well after taking a little while off. I really missed my blogging. So here I am with so much going on. We have pulled my 14 year old out of public school because of intense bullying. For so long he just walked away as other children hit him in the back of the head, trip him as he walked down the hall, called him names because of his tourettes. It was just getting out of control. He wasn't able to focus on his school work because he was so worried about what was going to happen when he left class that his grades were dropping. Of course we went to the principle and we were told it would be taken care of. Well nothing was done. Josh is now doing virtual school at home and making much progress. He started boxing at a local gym run by the police department and his self esteem is improving everyday. I'm really glad that we made this decision for Joshua. If you have any advice I would love to hear it.

    Good for you. Its horrible that kids can be so mean and the schools find it so difficult to control bullying. Homeschool is a great alternative...Ive often thought that if anything at all happened to my kids at school I would just pull them out and home school. As a matter of fact with the budget cuts coming down the pike, there is a lot of talk in our local moms groups about homeschooling all of our kids....its the future....good luck to you and Josh....following from MBC....come for a visit when u get a chance
